Request inside the app
- Open Settings or Account and sync, then choose Delete account. This option is also available while waiting for approval.
- Read the explanation, including the loss of unsynchronized edits, and confirm while connected to the internet.
- Wait for the app to confirm receipt. Access to shared records stops when the request is accepted. We complete deletion within 30 days and send confirmation to your account email.
No follow-up email or phone call is required for an authenticated in-app account request.
Request without the app
Email contact@jgopie.com to request deletion, using the subject “Brownie Badge Progression — deletion request.” Send from the Google email used for the app where possible. You do not need to reinstall the app.
State that you want your app account permanently deleted. We verify control of the account email before acting. If you cannot access it, explain that so we can arrange proportionate identity verification. Never send a password. Deletion is completed within 30 days after verification, with a completion notice.
What is removed and what remains
- Your app authentication record, profile, access assignments, operation receipts, and account-linked technical metadata are removed.
- Your Google account is unaffected.
- Shared children's and unit records remain available to the organization; deleting the adult account that entered them does not delete those records.
- Your own Guider details or signatures can be reviewed for erasure. Identify the records involved rather than assuming they are linked to your login.
- Request contact details are removed from the processing queue after completion notification.
There is no automatic expiry for retained unit records. Exported files, disconnected-device copies, and external backups cannot be remotely recalled.
Erase a child's or member's records
A member or authorized parent/guardian can email a permanent-erasure request. Identify the person and unit with only enough information to locate the records. We verify your authority before disclosure or erasure.
Verified requests are fulfilled within 30 days. Erasure includes the relevant personal records, progress, notes, activity, certificate snapshots, and retained deleted copies. Minimal non-personal markers remain to prevent stale devices from recreating erased records. Any legally required exception will be explained.
The app's ordinary Delete actions, signing out, and uninstalling do not perform this permanent-erasure process.
